WAYMART—Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are on the hunt for an unidentified armed robbery suspect who shook down the Uni-Mart Exxon gas station at the corner of Route 6 and Route 296 early Sunday morning.

According to a PSP report, the suspect – a white female approximately 5'5” to 5'6”, between 130 and 150 pounds with hazel eyes and light features - entered the gas station just before 4:30 a.m. “...wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a black hoodie underneath, black baseball cap, black gloves and blue jeans.”

The report states the suspect approached the clerk, a 29 year old male, from behind and “...struck him over the head with an expandable baton.”

The assault left the victim with a laceration on the right side of his head which needed to be treated at a hospital.

The suspect then bound the victim's hands with duct tape after flashing “what appeared to be a pistol in her waistband.”

With the clerk subdued, the suspect “...proceeded to steal an undetermined amount of money from a register and safe before fleeing on foot into a wooded area,” the report states.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts or identity of the suspect are asked to contact PSP Honesdale at 570-253-7126.
