A Honesdale microbrewery is making its business dream come true – and doing it efficiently with the help of PPL Electric Utilities’ energy efficiency rebates and programs.

Here & Now Brewing Company, a microbrewery and restaurant, started selling growlers in January 2017 and opened its restaurant in May 2017, both in a historic building on Honesdale’s Main Street. The business employs 12 people, in addition to the founding partners.

Here & Now took advantage of rebate programs to install energy-efficient equipment that will save energy and money over the long term. One example is a glycol chiller used in the production of beer.

KEEA Alliance, a nonprofit organization that advocates on behalf of energy efficiency programs, recently produced a video in which co-owner Allaina Propst talks about her business and her investment in energy savings:
