The multiple organizations of Waymart Masonic Lodge recently held a food drive for the Waymart Food Pantry, located in the Waymart Methodist Church on Belmont Street.
The organizations included: Blue Lodge, led by Leigh Depew, Worshipful Master; Order of the Eastern Star ( OES), led by Kelly Waters, Worthy Matron; Royal Arch Masons (Chapter), led by Rev. Joshua Yorkes; Commandery led by Chavez Lill; Ben Beynon of Commandery; Laurel Chapter of Rainbow Girls ( the female youth organization), led by Summer Franklin, Worthy Advisor, and the Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls is Stephanie Rush.
Donna LaBar and Mary Vinton, representing the Waymart Food Pantry, accepted not only a donation of canned and boxed food items from these related groups, but also a monetary donation of $500.00, given in a presentation check, from the Rainbow Girls Assembly, showing their commitment to helping those in society that are in need.
This food drive and monetary collection took place just in the month of March and finalized prior to the Easter weekend so as to include its distribution of articles and funds in a timely manner to help, aide and assist those who may benefit from this charitable deed.
