Clarks Summit, PA – Area civic, business, community representatives and other dignitaries joined The Honesdale National Bank’s Board of Directors, Officers and staff on Wednesday, January 24th for the ribbon cutting and dedication of HNB’s new office at 651 Northern Boulevard in South Abington Township.
In the early 1800’s, before a national currency was established, sheets of Honesdale Bank currency were cut into individual bills with a pair of scissors. Using those same scissors, Branch Manager Carol Milani cut the red ribbon and officially opened HNB’s newest full service banking location.
Commenting on the new office, HNB President and CEO David E. Raven said, “We’re very excited about joining the greater Clarks Summit community. The area is a natural extension of our commitment to serving close knit communities that share our bank’s ideals and values. By joining our Montdale and Eynon branches in Lackawanna County, it enhances our ability to provide greater convenience, accessibility and the support of HNB’s tradition of community banking to current and future customers.”
He continued, “Our staff, with the support of our entire organization, is dedicated to serving the financial needs of this community. We are very fortunate to have Carol Milani as the office’s manager. Carol is well-respected and trusted, with a reputation for assisting with the growth and development of the area’s residents and businesses. Along with Alex Howe, Teresa Popko and Josh Borosky, they form a dedicated team, with a genuine care for the customer that has become synonymous with HNB.”
The office features full personal and business banking resources, a drive-up featuring a 24-hour ATM and night depository. In addition to visits to the office, across from the South Abington Park & Recreation Complex, the staff can be reached at 570-587- 2274.
