From John Fogerty to Ringo Starr to RiverFolk

The off-the-charts keyboards player and songwriter Bob Malone returns to RiverFolk Concerts on Sun., Feb. 11, 4 p.m. at The Cooperage in Honesdale after another year of playing with the really big guys!

We are honored to have Bob playing for our audience here in rural America with his rhythmic, original, and upbeat show! Bob will be joined by Australian pianist and songwriter Trysette.

Bob Malone has had more than his share of “rock star moments”; headlining all over the world as part of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty’s red hot band since 2011.

Barnstorming across the USA, Europe, Asia and Australia performing songs from his many solo albums for loyal fans worldwide. Laying down tracks with the legendary Bob Seger.

Sharing the stage with everyone from Jimmy Buffett to Jackson Browne to Springsteen.

But nothing prepared him for the day he hung out with and played for a Beatle.

Malone spent a magical studio session with Ringo Starr playing on the reboot of the track “Back Off Boogaloo” for Starr’s new album GIVE MORE LOVE. “Ringo couldn’t have been nicer, but man, having him watch me lay down the track…talk about intimidation!”

Classically trained, with a degree in jazz and a lifetime playing rock & roll clubs, theatres, and arenas, Bob’s sound is a one-of-a-kind hybrid of rock, blues, and New Orleans R&B, delivered with high-energy piano virtuosity and a voice all his own.

Trysette and the majority of her eight siblings undertook classical piano training, which meant there was little or no exposure in the home to popular music. Trysette found an escape in the songs she heard on the school bus radio each day.…. With 7 albums to her name, and having received numerous accolades for her cover of Chasing Cars, Trysette decided to record a full album of covers in 2016 which she named 'Shadowgirl'.  A few popular tracks from this album include Carole King's 'Natural Woman', Stevie Nicks' 'Landslide', Coldplay's 'Fix You', and a wonderfully unique version of Etta James' 'I'd Rather Go Blind'.

“Trysette is set to begin recording a new CD with Simone Felice (producer for The Lumineers – Cleopatra). "Trysette has a sound that's all her own. She has a great voice, she writes thoughtful lyrics and classically trained, plays a mean piano" Pieter Van Wessem - Sounds Australia
