HONESDALE— Main Street eatery China Castle was robbed at gunpoint Dec. 18, prompting investigation by borough police.

According to police, the suspect is a white female.

She entered the establishment around 8:40 p.m., wearing a light colored jacket, light colored pants, a scarf or face mask, and possibly safety glasses.

Police said the suspect was also carrying a large black tote bag.

The robber showed the handgun to an employee and left the restaurant with an as yet undetermined amount of money.

Investigation is ongoing. There were no suspects as of time of press time Dec. 19.
