HONESDALE — The Wayne Choralaires, under the direction of Patricia Spoor, are about to start rehearsals for their Christmas concerts and welcome more singers to join them. All voice parts are needed.

The concerts are titled “One Holy Night!” and will include a wide range of sacred and popular songs, including “What Sweeter Music” and a Honesdale favorite, “Winter Wonderland.”

Martha Curtis will be returning as accompanist after an absence of a few years.

Cindy and Melissa Robbins will also accompany on a four-hand keyboard piece, and Jim Willow and his flute will be spotlighted as intermission entertainment.

The Choralaires have been entertaining appreciative local audiences for fifty years, and their Christmas concerts are a cherished Wayne County tradition. If you love to sing and can carry a tune, you will enjoy singing with the Choralaires.

You do not need to be able to read music, and there will be a number of solo opportunities.

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, beginning September 6, from 8:30 to 10 PM in the Wesley Room of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale. Concerts will be Sunday afternoon, November 26, at 2:30, in Honesdale; Thursday evening, November 30, at 7:00 in Carbondale; and Sunday afternoon, December 3, at 2:30 in Hawley.

Note that there will be only one Honesdale concert. For further information, call 570-253-2104 or 570-253-2782.
