WHITE MILLS — The list of published authors participating in Authorfest 2017 July 29 continues to grow, with more than thirty authors expected to attend.

The event this year will be held in the Blue Room of the Dorflinger Factory Museum in White Mills, PA from 9 am to 3 pm.

This annual showcase for regional authors is completely free to the public.

AuthorFest doors open at 9 am, and from 9:30 to 10:30, Christopher Peroni will present a workshop on “Visual Writing for the Screen: Inspirations.”

Chris Peroni studied film/screenwriting at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, and NYU and worked on multiple independent films.

At 10:45, Mary Olmsted Greene will moderate a panel discussion entitled “Coming to the Muse: Why Is Poetry Important?”

Panelists are Brian Fanelli, Dawn Leas, Daryl Sznyter, and Nancy Dymond.

From 12 to 3 pm, 30+ regional authors will be available to meet their public to discuss their books and their methods/techniques.

They’ll also have autographed books available for purchase.

This year, there will be a “children’s corner” with snacks and activities for young readers.

Harnett, Pearl Hochstadt, Jean Joachim, Elizabeth Schloesser Knox, Gayle Krause, Donna LaBar, Dawn Leas, Mort Malkin, Dawn McIntyre, Michelle Oram, John R. Patrick, Chris Peroni, S. Robert Powell, Kurt Reed, Christine San José, Alice LaBar Scott, Daryl Sznyter, Patricia Thomas, the Wayne County Historical Society and Will Wyckoff.

The Blue Room is on the second floor of the beautiful Dorflinger Factory Museum, located at the blinking light on Route 6 in White Mills, PA.

At the light, turn onto Elizabeth Street (left turn going east, left turn going west), followed by an immediate right into the museum driveway.

There is ample parking in the rear of the building.
