Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming wedding of Darcy Congdon, Carbondale, to Stephen LaSavage, Carbondale.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Douglas and Diana Congdon, Carbondale. She is the granddaughter of Douglas and Mary Congdon, Carbondale, and Tina and the late Nicholas Adams, Carbondale, and Gus Erzin, Jermyn.
She is a graduate of Carbondale Area Jr. Sr. High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Special Education from The University of Phoenix. She has a four-year old son, Quintin Douglas Naro, who is the ring bearer.
The groom-to-be is the son of Steve and Marylynn LaSavage, Carbondale. He is the grandson of John and Agnes Ward, Carbondale, and the late John Sr. and Joann LaSavage, Carbondale. He is a graduate of Carbondale Area Jr. Sr. High School. He is employed by Jim Dzielak Contracting, Inc., as a carpenter.
The wedding is set for July 2, 2010. The ceremony will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 3 p.m. A reception will be held at Montdale Country Club.
