The Beach Lake United Methodist Church was the setting of the beautiful marriage celebration of Alisha Erin Smith and Scott William King on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev. Mark Terwilliger. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Sheldon Smith. The ceremony included many musical selections on organ and guitar by Karen Rolston and Pastor Terwilliger. Dinner and dancing followed at the Central House Resort, Beach Lake.
The members of the wedding party were: Maid of Honor, Echoe Tyler, sister of the bride; Bridesmaids, Jody Drobysh and Jessie Smith; and Flower Girl, Hailey Tyler, niece of the bride.
The Best Man was John Fitzgerald; Groomsmen were James Bremenour and Rob Drobysh; the Ring Bearer was Robert Leon Bonnaci, the groom's nephew.
Ushers were Joshua Smith and Nathan Smith, the bride's brothers; Acolytes were Melissa Orr and Rebecca Orr; Readers were Jocelyn Orr and Christina Orr, all cousins of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Sheldon and Roxanne Smith, Honesdale, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Evelyn Smith, Honesdale and Mrs.Ethel Palko, Horseheads, NY.
A 2006 graduate of Honesdale High School and a graduate of Empire Beauty School, she is employed as a hair stylist at Universal Hair Design, Honesdale.
The groom is the son of Leon and Kathy King, White Lake, NY. His grandmother is Mrs. Janet Orr, Beach Lake. A 2000 graduate of Liberty High School and a 2003 graduate of Sullivan County Community College, Mr. King is employed by NY DOT.
The couple resides in Beach Lake with their two miniature Doberman pinchers, Sadie and Abbie.
