Anyone passing Bingham Park in Hawley Friday evening may have thought they went through a time warp when Medieval knights clashed their swords and shields not far from the park band stand.
It was part of the action leading up to Medieval Movie night with Riverouge members presenting displays, games and crafts from life in Medieval times, including warriors fighting in armor. The demonstrations were followed at 8:30 pm by a Medieval-themed movie. The tale was of a squire who changes his stars and becomes a knight featuring a young actor whose star went out too soon.
The movie was co-sponsored by the Wayne County Drug Task Force and the Hawley Movies in the Park Committee.
