An opening reception of the paintings of Carolina Franco will take place Friday night.

The reception for Carolina Franco: Paints Her World 1950-1968 takes place between 6-8 p.m. at Milkweed, 1019 Main Street, Honesdale.

Carolina Franco lived and worked at 1019 Main Street until her death in 1968. She began painting late in life, inspired by her fond memories of Italy, "lost" flowers and her beloved garden.
