The voters on Tuesday across Wayne County have decided who will face each other in the November General Election, setting up several ballot challenges. Here are the complete, preliminary results, as they were provided by the Wayne County Bureau of Elections. Full results were released by 12:43 a.m.

There were 31 percent of the registered Republicans voting (5,382 of 16,861) and 22 percent of the Democrats (2,354 of 10,512).
In the race for Magisterial District Judge (Central Wayne), with all 11 precincts reporting, Warren Schloesser, an attorney, won on the Democratic side with 214 votes. He was ahead of Ted Mikulak by only 5 votes. On the Republican side, Ted Mikulak, who operates a plumbing business, won with 569 votes, compared to 479 for the next in line, Scott Bennett.
Up north, with all 10 precincts reporting, it incumbent Judge Ronald Edwards secured his nomination on both the Democratic and Republican tickets for District Judge, with 209 and 635 votes, respectively. His challenger, Donna Burrowes, only ran on the republican ticket and garnered only 159 votes.
Honesdale Mayor Jonathan Fritz won with 378 votes.
On Honesdale Council, the four top Republican vote-getters were Robert Jennings, Thomas Frisk, (incumbent) Lee Garing, Janine Edwards.
Among other incumbents who were challenged within their own party and prevailed, Tuesday, included Berlin Township Supervisor Paul Henry; Hawley Mayor Ann Morgan; Hawley Council members Mary Sanders, Donald Kyzer; Dee Sabatino; Paupack Township Supervisor Thomas Oakley; Salem Township Supervisor Robert Wittenbrader Jr.; Texas Township Supervisor Jack McDonald.
Among incumbents who lost, were Berlin Township Supervisor Tony Franklin; Dyberry Township Supervisor Robert Pfund; and Palmyra Township Supervisor James Mason.
A large number of write-in votes slowed the counting of votes after polls closed at 8 p.m., stated Brian Smith, chairman of the Wayne County Commissioners. Two electronic scanners at the Courthouse were ready to receive the paper ballots and print results for posting on the county web site (www.co.wayne.pa.us).
These results are considered preliminary until the Election Computing Board meets to re-tally the votes and announces their findings.
