HAWLEY – The Wayne County Builders Association (WCBA) organized an annual community outreach project that raised a total of $8,088 to benefit the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
We were so excited to raise money for the Shriners Organization,” says Nicole Sanchez, Executive Officer of the WCBA. “Their hospitals help children with a variety of conditions and truly make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.”
WCBA sold raffle tickets for a chance to win a "Spectacular Outdoor Living Prize." This prize consisted of a $100 gift certificate to Lake Region IGA, a hedge trimmer, gardening basket, hammock, gazebo, patio heater, gas grill, potting bench, one ton of mulch or soil, fire pit, drink stand with cooler, patio bar, kayak with life jackets, $100 gift certificate to the Alpine House, golf bag, golf for 4 at Woodloch Springs Country Club, 2 cast iron outdoor chairs and outdoor chaise lounge chair.
We could not be happier with the turn out from our members,” says Sanchez. “This program is only made possible by the dedication of our community outreach committee, members who support the association, and our generous sponsors and donors.”
The grand prize winner of this package was Heather Fluck of Waymart. WCBA will be presenting a check to representatives from the Shriner Children’s Hospital at the General Membership Meeting on September 10 at Lukan’s Farm Resort.
