  • County supports grant applications

  • HONESDALE – At a recent meeting of the Wayne County Commissioners, letters of support were approved for projects within the county.
    There were two requests for local share grants.
    The first was from Paupack Township, which is applying for a grant to pave the fire department parking lot. The fire company will provide matching funds as well.
    The second request was from Texas Township, which is applying for a grant to secure funds for the Old Willow Avenue Bridge.
    The township previously applied for funds, but was denied.
    Employment
    Evan Maclusky's resignation as caseworker supervisor for the Behavioral and Developmental Programs and Early Intervention Department was approved.
    It is effective Aug. 29.
    Anthony Besten was promoted from a part time to full time correctional officer for the Wayne County Correctional Facility, effective Aug. 17.
    The salary was set for $15.42 an hour.
    Ronald Kominski was promoted from part time to full time 911 Dispatcher for the Communications Center, effective Aug. 4.
    The salary was set for $24,806.60.
    There was a correction made to two employees' salaries.
    During the July 31 meeting, Lydia Feik and Bernadette Musgrove were hired as case workers I for the Wayne County Children and Youth Services Department.
    At that time their salaries were set for $30,106.35 for 37.5 hours a week. There was a mistake with what pay scale they should be on.
    Their salaries were adjusted to $31,457.02, effective Aug. 18. 

        calendar
