John Hiatt is both a diverse guitarist and song-writer whose songs have been recorded by artists as varied as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt (“Thing Called Love”), Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, Rosanne Cash (#1 country hit, “The Way We Make A Broken Heart”), the Jeff Healey Band (“Angel Eyes”), and even the cartoon bear band of Disney’s film, The Country Bears.

His first big hit album, 1987's Bring the Family included hits such as"Have a Little Faith in Me," Memphis in the Meantime.”

Now 40 years into his recording career, John Hiatt has released his 22nd studio album, a largely acoustic-based set, entitled Terms of My Surrender.

Always a keen observer of life’s flings and foibles alike, usually mixed well together, Hiatt’s insights and skills at sharing them have only sharpened over the years.

Hiatt’s run of albums, starting with 2000’s Crossing Muddy Waters through this new one is arguably the most consistent, fully-realized expression of his considerable gifts as a writer and performer, and the intimate Bethel Woods Event Gallery will provide the ideal space for fans to enjoy the latest creation.
