STARRUCCA - On Sunday night, volunteers and emergency personnel were assembled at the Northern Wayne Fire Company to search for a missing woman.
According the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Honesdale, Susan Ward, 64, of Starrucca left her residence on King Hill Road July 19 at around 7:30 a.m. and did not return home.
PSP issued a release Monday afternoon stating that Ward had been located.

He added that an examination is scheduled for Tuesday morning and an official identification will be released after the procedure.
Duane Kerzic of Northeast Search and Rescue, said that despite the tragic ending there is a silver lining.
After placing a plea for volunteers late Sunday night, he said "over 60 people showed up" to continue the search Monday morning.
He called the response "an amazing effort by the local community."
Over the course of the search, emergency response teams included the Northern Wayne Fire Company, Thompson Hose Company, Amigo Search and Rescue, Pocono Search and Rescue, Eagle Valley Search and Rescue, Ledgewood Dive Team, PennDOT, Pleasant Mount Emergency Services, PSP, Hancock Fire Department and many community volunteers.
Kerzic also said the Northern Wayne Women's Axillary did "an outstanding job" during the course of the investigation.
"Bridget Evanitsky and the auxiliary did a wonderful job," he added.
Starrucca Mayor Mary Ann DeBalko also extended thanks to the many who responded to help find Ward.
"I need to thank each and every one of the volunteers who came to help with the search," she said. "When our community is in need, the community rises to the occasion."
