  • HAMLIN - The Hamlin Family Health Center, part of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC), along with Wayne Memorial Outpatient Services in Hamlin is hosting a grand opening celebration and free summer carnival for the community on Saturday, July 26th, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on the grounds of its facility located on Route 191.
We’ve met with a great deal of enthusiasm by those living and working in and around Hamlin since the Center opened in mid-June,” stated Frederick Jackson, executive director of WMCHC.
"We want the ribbon cutting to involve the community and serve as a means of thanking our patients for supporting this new venture.”
The public will have an opportunity to meet the staff and tour the new facility which offers primary care either by appointment or walk-in for urgent needs, women’s health services as well as laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound services.
During the grand opening the Wayne Memorial Hearing Solutions van, a brand-new, state-of-the-art mobile audiology clinic, will be parked onsite to conduct hearing screenings from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
The opening will also feature grilled hot dogs and a variety of hoagies served by Big Dog Daddy’s at the Lakeside.
Samplings of fresh popped popcorn and ice cold snow cones will also be made to order.
Children can enjoy a castle bounce house as well as face painting and balloon animals from Jo Jo the Clown.
The Lake Ariel Fire Department, Hamlin EMS and the Ledgedale Dive Team will be on hand to discuss fire and water safety with children and adults.
The festive atmosphere will be complete with background music and live broadcasts by WDNH 95.3 and Classics 105.
