HAWLEY - The Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a concert by Elvis Presley tribute artist Shawn Klush on Sunday, Sept. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Woodloch Pines nightclub.

Tickets are $35 each. Call Katy Wood at 570-253-5779, Joan Buehl at 570-226-9750 or Lonnie Forget at 570-253-0637. Reserved seating is available for groups of six or more.

Klush’s love for music led him to begin imitating his idol, Elvis.

Klush, of Pittston, was named the “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” by Elvis Presley Enterprises when he competed in Memphis against contestants from throughout the world. He also was named, “The World’s Greatest Elvis,” in the British Broadcasting Company’s worldwide search for the greatest Elvis tribute artist.

Each January, Klush stars in the “Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour,” with Elvis’ own musicians, singers and friends in multiple cities.

He recently sold out a 15-city tour of Australia and had record-breaking performances in the U.S., Switzerland, Canada, the United Kingdom and South America.

In 2013, Klush was a featured performer on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Concert Chair Katy Wood said the auxiliary chose Klush for this year’s concert after she and several other members saw him perform.

“We were quite impressed with the show he put on,” she said.

A cocktail hour will be held prior to the concert from 3 to 4 p.m. featuring complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Proceeds will benefit Wayne Memorial Hospital, a non-profit serving patients in Wayne and Pike counties and Sullivan County, N.Y.

Woodloch is offering a special concert package that includes overnight accommodations, dinner and breakfast for $99 per person. Call Woodloch’s Group Sales Office at 1-800-453-8263 for further information.
