  • Many handed sentences in Pike County

  •  Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    Barbara Rose Leonetti, age 30, of Lake Ariel, was sentenced to 48 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $700 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
    On April 28, 2013, in Greene Township, Leonetti was found operating a vehicle without first having obtained a valid operator’s license and with a blood alcohol concentration of .124% .
    Gregory James Cannon, age 51, of Greely, was sentenced to 2 months to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 1 year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
    On September 10, 2013 along State Route 739 in Blooming Grove Township, Cannon was found operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .203%.
    Heather Lee Matulewich, age 25, of Tafton, was sentenced to 3 months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail and fined $300 for the crime of Theft by Deception.
    On October 25, 2013, at a business located in Greene Township, Matulewich made false returns for assorted merchandise and in exchange received $200 in U.S. currency.
    Brian Richard Altomare, age 33, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced to 30 days to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $750 and had his driver’s license suspended for 1 year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
    On November 3, 2013, in Shohola, PA., Altomare was found operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .137%.
    Miguel A. Canizares, age 54, of Bronx, NY., was sentenced to 4 months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 24 months of Probation and fined $1,000 for the crime of Indecent Assault (2 counts).
    On July 15, 2013, at a residence in Lehman Township, Canizares inappropriately touched the breasts and buttocks of a 13 year old female.
    Matthew John Schaefer, age 22, of Hawley, was sentenced to 1 month to 18 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $500 for the crime of Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition.
    On September 24, 2013, at a Blooming Grove Township business, Schaefer took a weed trimmer and U.S. currency valued at approximately $1,675.
    Scott P. Freethy, age 22, of Canadensis, was sentenced to 12 months of Probation, fined $500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance.
    Page 2 of 2 - On November 29, 2013, in Greene Township Freethy was found in possession of Suboxone during a vehicle search following a traffic stop.
    Joseph Robert Mahn, age 23, of Honesdale, was sentenced to 9 months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail and fined $500 for the crime of Burglary.
    Between December 23, 2013, and January 10, 2014, Mahn, without permission, entered a Palmyra Township business after hours and took approximately $1,000 from a locked filing cabinet.
    Leonard Stanley Roe, age 56, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced to 6 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program with 11 days in the Pike County Jail, followed by 30 days on the home electronic monitoring system, fined $775 and had his license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Careless Driving.
    On June 25, 2013, in Dingman Township, Roe, while operating his vehicle with a blood concentration level of .139% traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
    Jessica L. Nagy, age 26, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced to 4 months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $600 and had her driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crimes of Criminal Trespass and Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance.
    On February 2, 2014, Nagy was the driver of the vehicle used in the burglary of a residence in Delaware Township. When Nagy was taken into custody, she was found in possession of Oxycodone and Methadone.
    Jessica Ann Guglielmino, age 32, of Hawley, was sentenced to 30 days to 6 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $100 for the crime of Disorderly Conduct.
    Between December 2012 and January 2013, in Lackawaxen Township, Guglielmino committed a lewd act with another individual while her 6 year old daughter was present in the room.
