WALLENPAUPACK - On Sunday, April 6th, 26 members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter at Wallenpaupack Area High School headed to Hershey, PA to compete on the State Level. They placed in the top 10 in seven events.
   The students had the opportunity to compete, present and attend workshops as well as network with fellow FBLA members from around Pennsylvania. The event was at the Hershey Lodge Convention Center.
    Their advisor, Mrs. Melissa Monte, reports that the group was extremely successful placing in the top 10 in seven events. Award winners were:
• 10th in Database Design and Applications - Irene Gendleman
• 7th in Future Business Leader - Gianni Iona
• 7th in Management Information Systems - The team of Jamel Blanding, John Pillar and Rocco Scartelli
• 7th in Business Communications - Ben Gendleman
• 6th in Community Service Project - The Team of Katlyn Carr, Jess Kellstrom, and Jaylee Lundberg
• 3rd in Business Financial Plan - the Team of Logan Curnal, Peter Gilroy and Isaac Syre
• 2nd in Increased Percentage of Membership with an increase of 177%.
    The team of Business Financial Plan will be advancing to compete at the National Leadership Conference which will be held in the end of June in Nashville, Tennessee.
  The students stayed at The Hotel Hershey while at the state competition.
