  • PIKE COUNTY - Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:

  • PIKE COUNTY - Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    Terry L. Powers, age 50, of Milford was sentenced to 3 months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for the crime of felony Retail Theft, which occurred on December 1, 2013, at a retail business located in Westfall Township.
    Alissa J. McDermott, age 33, of Matamoras was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months at the Pike County Jail, fined a total of $1,000 and had her license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
    On August 10, 2013, in Matamoras Borough, McDermott operated a vehicle while having a blood alcohol level of .240 percent.
    Damien J. Martin, age 41, of Stroudsburg was sentenced to 1 month to 18 months in the Pike County Jail and fined a total of $350 for the crime of Reckless Endangerment of Another Person, a misdemeanor.
    Between August 20 and August 21, 2013, in Lackawaxen Township, Martin struck a child, placing the child in danger of serious bodily injury.
    Nicole D. Devries, age 22, of Matamoras was sentenced to 12 months of Probation and fined a total $500 for the crime of Attempting to Furnish Drug Free Urine.
    On September 23, 2013, during a meeting with the Pike County Probation Department in Milford Borough, Devries attempted to provide the Probation Officer with a drug-free urine sample contained in a small plastic device on her person.
    Brent A. Luskin, age 37, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to 12 months of Probation and fined a total of $1,050 for the crimes of Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness.
    On September 9, 2013, in a Delaware Township development, Leskin, under the influence of alcohol, engaged in a threatening behavior putting himself and others at risk.
    Benjamin Scully, age 25, of Hawley was sentenced to 12 months of Probation and fined $300 for the crime of Defiant Trespass.
    On July 26, 2013, in Shohola Township, Scully entered into a private residence while being warned by the property owner not to.
    Scott R. Olsen, age 25, of Rowland was sentenced to 48 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined a total of $1,025 and had his driver’s license suspended for 1 year for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Careless Driving.
    On or about June 13, 2013, in Lacakwaxen Township, Olsen, under the influence of alcohol, drove his vehicle into a disabled vehicle in the roadway. Olsen’s blood alcohol concentration was .138 percent.
    Wilma Velazquez, age 45, of Milford was sentenced to 2 months to 8 months in the Pike County Jail and fined a total of $400 for the crime of Terroristic Threats.
    On or about June 3, 2013 and again on or about September 14, 2013, Velazquez threatened to burn down the home of two individuals located in Dingman Township.
    Page 2 of 2 - Justin G. Beach, age 21, of Matamoras was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 11 months to 23 ½ months followed by 3 years of Probation and was also fined a total of $300 for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy.
    On or about July 18, 2011 and through July 19, 2011, Beach along with a co-conspirator, entered the residence of an individual in Dingman Township without the owner’s permission and with the intent to burglarize it.
    Jose R. Salon, age 69, of Bushkill was sentenced to a fine of $300 for the crime of Harassment.
    On or about December 5, 2013, Salon did harass, annoy, or alarm an individual and did strike, shove, kick or otherwise subjected the individual to physical contact, or attempted to do so.
