EnviroFest 2014, the third in the monthly series of events highlighting facets of the culture of Northeastern Pennsylvania, is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hawley Silk Mill, a National Historic Place.

Organizations working to preserve and protect the environment will have displays showing what they do year-round and their specific plans for Earth Day 2014.
Among the exhibitors are the Pike-Wayne Conservation Partnership, which will be presenting details of their upcoming Rain Barrel Auction and Hawley Earthfest, along with information about their mission and activities, including a simple costume idea which the children will enjoy.
The Pocono Environmental Education Center will be providing information of their Earth Day event, their center and its programs and their costume idea.
The PPL Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center, which will also be presenting a costume idea, along with information about the Pike-Wayne Earth Day Festival and their other programs.
Joining these groups will be the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, Lacawac Sanctuary and the Lackawanna College Lake Region Center.
The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is an accredited land trust dedicated to conserving the natural heritage and quality of life in the Upper Delaware River region in partnership with the region's landowners and communities.
Lacawac Sanctuary, a nature preserve, ecological and field research station and public environmental education facility, is the home of Lake Lacawac, a pristine 52-acre lake totally free from development or encroachment.
Lake Lacawac was declared a National Natural Landmark in 1966. Finally, joining EnviroFest will be the Lackawanna College Lake Region Center, which will be offering information on the Lackawanna College Environmental Education Center Summer Day Camp 2014.
