HAWLEY - Hawley Borough Police are investigating an argument between two males on Main Avenue, Friday afternoon, March 21.

A gun was fired in the process, but no injuries occurred.

Police Chief Daniel Drake said that officers involved in the case responded quickly to the location at the intersection of River Street and Main Avenue.

He said the officers were committed to solving this incident before someone else may have been injured.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m.

Police were notified that two males were arguing and one of them pulled out a gun and fired a shot. Both males then fled the scene.

A search by Hawley Borough Police and State Police- Honesdale was
conducted but did not find either male at that time.

After an investigation by Hawley Police they were able to identify both individuals.

A warrant was issued for Cody Capasso, age 21, of Hawley. Capasso turned himself in on Monday morning to the Hawley Police.

He was arraigned by Judge Bonnie Carney and released on $35,000 unsecured bail.

Neither the victim, who is a 24-year old male from Hawley, nor the
defendant were hurt, said police.

The investigating officers were Chief Drake, Lt. Raymond Paquette
and Cpl. Aaron Bertholf. The arresting officer was Lt. Paquette.
