That certainly heightened my senses. Kevin Bacon and “Footloose” in the same sentence? Count me in.
“Footloose” is one of my favorite movies of all time and Kevin Bacon did an excellent job as Ren McCormack.
Bacon is a catch! He was when the movie came out in the 80s and still is now.
The movie was remade in 2011, with Kenny Wormald as Ren. Both the original and the remake are great and each is better than the other in certain aspects.
You also guessed it: I own both versions of “Footloose” on DVD. You just can't go wrong when something is awesome.
This year marks 30 years since the release of “Footloose,” with Bacon as its star and the eye candy for viewers. I didn't realize it had been 30 years until I saw the clip from “The Tonight Show” and got excited.
Keeping with the plot of the movie, Fallon said dancing was banned and Bacon, waiting to make his entrance in the dressing room, reacted just as Ren did in “Footloose.”
I was reminded of the movie when Bacon was reenacting scenes and dance moves, even wearing the same kind of outfits.
It was an awesome video to watch and made for one of the best entrances on a show ever.
Thirty years later and Bacon still has it.
