State police are searching for a male driver who followed a woman through Wayne County before smashing a window on her vehicle.

The 33-year-old woman was traveling westbound in a 2007 Chrysler Sebring on Route 6 in Honesdale at about 1 p.m. Friday when the suspect began to tailgate her.
The woman lost sight of the man in Honesdale, but then saw him behind her as she was traveling west on Route 6 about five miles from Honesdale.
The man continued to follow the woman as she turned onto Business Route 6 and then entered the Casey Highway.
The woman turned onto Canaan Street and then onto Honesdale Road in Whites Crossing, where she pulled over.
The suspect also stopped, approached the woman's vehicle and smashed her driver-side window.
The man then got into his Jeep Grand Cherokee and fled, striking the front driver-side of the woman's vehicle.
The suspect is described as white with long hair and a ponytail. He was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses with dark frames on the front with gold-colored arms.
He was driving a "dark reddish purple" Jeep Cherokee, possibly a 1997 or '98 model. The registration number is unknown.

• A Hawley Police Department Ford Explorer was involved in an accident March 11 with a farm tractor.
Chief Daniel Drake said that Officer Shanequa Knecht was on her way back from a training course for police when the collision occurred near Lake Ariel. No one was hurt.
The tractor operator had a large bale of hay in front. State police are investigating.
The Explorer has front end damage and is out of service.
