Do you think you know the cutest baby in Northeast Pennsylvania? Now is the time for your little one to strut their stuff in the 2014 Cutest Baby of Northeast Pennsylvania Competition. The contest will include readers in the coverage area of The Wayne Independent, The News Eagle, The Carbondale News and The Moscow Villager. "This contest is a collaborative effort between all four newspapers," said Publisher Michelle Hessling. How to enter The Cutest Baby Competition is free to enter. To be eligible for the contest, the entrant must live within 30 miles of one of the four participating publications. The baby in the photo must be under the age of 24 months at the time of entry. The photo must include just the baby and nothing else. "The entry period will run from Dec. 31, 2013 until midnight on Jan. 14, 2014," Hessling said. The photo must be entered online by visiting either www.wayneindependent.com, www.neagle.com, www.thecarbondalenews.com or www.moscowvillager.com and clicking on the "Cutest Baby" link. Entries can also be submitted by visiting the Cutest Baby Contest page directly at www.wayneindependent.com/cutestbaby. Hessling said that families can enter a maximum of five photos per baby during the submission period. On Jan. 15, 2014, the voting will begin to determine which child is the cutest. Voting will last until Jan. 29, 2014 and the winner will be announced on Feb. 5, 2014 both in print and online. During the voting period, a person can vote up to 10 times per day per photo. During the last 48 hours of the contest, the number of votes per photo will be hidden to allow for all votes to be audited according to contest rules. The top three babies that accumulate the most votes will be awarded first, second and third place. The baby that takes the top crown will win $200, the second place baby wins $100 and third place wins $50.
