It was a landmark building in the City of Carbondale for a century. Now new life will be given to the former Zazzera’s Grocery Store. Goodwill Industries of Northeastern PA is putting the final touches on this historical location to open a new retail store. Gerald T. Langan, Goodwill’s President/CEO, explained, “We are excited to be part of the city again. Goodwill operated a store in Carbondale on Main Street in the mid 80’s and we feel the new location will be a great fit as the city grows once again.” The Grand Opening is scheduled for Dec. 9, with a ribbon cutting at noon. The Carbondale site will offer a variety of merchandise including clothing, books, toys, music and housewares. A donation drop off area is also available to accept any of your gently used clothing and wares.
