Guthrie is pleased to announce that applications are now available for the 40th Annual Health Professions and Guthrie Employee Scholarships. A total of 13 scholarships will be awarded; each undergraduate studies scholarship is worth $650 per year or $2,600 over four years.
Guthrie is pleased to announce that applications are now available for the 40th Annual Health Professions and Guthrie Employee Scholarships. A total of 13 scholarships will be awarded; each undergraduate studies scholarship is worth $650 per year or $2,600 over four years. Nine Health Professions scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to enter an accredited college, university, hospital-based nursing or allied health program, with careers in health professions including medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health professions, health care administration, or medical research in the summer or fall of 20114. Four Guthrie Employee scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are the children of Guthrie employees and who plan to enroll in an accredited junior college, college or university in the summer or fall of 2014. Any career interest is allowed. These students may apply simultaneously for a Health Professions scholarship if all the criteria for that scholarship are met. Children of physicians and dentists affiliated with Guthrie are not eligible for either of these scholarships. Seniors at the following New York and Pennsylvania high schools are eligible to apply: Pennsylvania Athens, Canton, Cowanesque Valley, Elkland, Liberty, Mansfield, Mansfield New Covenant Academy, Northeast Bradford, North Penn, North Rome Christian School, Sayre, Sullivan County, Towanda, Troy, Tunkhannock, Wellsboro, Williamson, Wyalusing Valley. New York Addison, Bath-Haverling, Binghamton, Bradford Central, Campbell-Savona, Candor, Charles O. Dickerson, Corning Christian Academy, Corning-Painted Post East, Corning-Painted Post West, Dryden, Elmira Christian Academy, Elmira Free Academy, Groton, Hammondsport, Horseheads, Ithaca, Johnson City, Lansing, Maine-Endwell, Newark Valley, Newfield, Notre Dame, Odessa-Montour, Owego Free Academy, Seton Catholic, Southside, Spencer-VanEtten, Thomas Edison, Tioga Central, Twin Tier Christian Academy, Union-Endicott, Vestal, Watkins Glen, Waverly.
