HONESDALE-On Friday, Lakeside Elementary students were busy making cards for soldiers. They were taking part in a Holiday Mail for Heroes card party, which was organized by Linda Barney, office/volunteer manager of the American Red Cross Wayne Pike Chapter and a Honesdale Community that Cares (CTC) board member, as well as CTC executive director Kathy Grandjean. Wayne Pike American Red Cross volunteers Sharon Herzog, Donna O'Shaughnessy, Kathy Vaughan and CTC staffer Deb McDonald were helping the students with their cards.
