Grand opening Nov. 16
A new business in Honesdale opened this month, just in time for the busy holiday season. Alley Whey Cheese Shoppe, 1023 Main Street, is owned by James Regelsky, a trained chef and cheesemaker at Calkins Creamery. Regelsky’s retail store offers customers not only American cow’s milk cheeses, but regional goat and sheep cheeses. Other specialties at Alley Whey include honey, olives, breads and pesto and tapenades to accompany the diverse cheese selection.
