  • Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    Zachary Doolittle, age 24, of Otisville, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility from 1 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Retail Theft. On April 11, 2013, Doolittle took over $500 of miscellaneous items without paying the full retail value at a store in Westfall Township.
    Charles Strouse, age 25, of Milford was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On July 19, 2012 in Dingman Township was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. His blood alcohol level was .176%.
    Daniel Hipsman, age 21, of Shohola was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 days to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Unsworn Falsification to Law Enforcement. On August 6 , 2012, in Milford Township, Hipsman provided the Pennsylvania State Police with a written statement that his vehicle had been stolen, knowing that information was false.
    Joshua Beam, age 23, of Hawley was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 4 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Theft by Unlawful Taking. On March 7, 2013, Beam took property worth $200 from another person in Palmyra Township.
    Corey Emery, age 28, of Bushkill was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 6 to 12 months, ordered to pay a fine of $800 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Small Amount of Marihuana. On March 13, 2013 in Lehman Township, Emery was found in possession of Xanax and a small amount of marihuana.
    Zachary Johnston, age 20, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crimes of Terroristic Threats and Criminal Mischief. On May 15, 2013 in Delaware Township, Johnston kicked the front door and lock with his foot to gain entry and subsequently threatened to kill another person.
    Jeffrey Haber, age 35, of Milford was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 9 months to 3 years, and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of Retail Theft. On three different occasions, between March 20 and March 25, 2013, Haber took various items without paying the full retail value from a business in Westfall Township.
    Eric Daly, age 33, of Milford was sentenced to 6 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On July 22, 2012, Daly was found to be driving under the influence and refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the amount of alcohol in his blood.
    Page 2 of 3 - Mateusz Zmuda, age 30, of Brooklyn, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On March 9, 2013, Zmuda drove his vehicle off the road striking a tree in Lehman Township, and was found to be driving under the influence. His blood alcohol level was .19%.
    Timothy Otero, age 23, of Otisville, NY was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Retail Theft. On April 11, 2013 in Westfall Township, Otero took various items without paying the full retail value.
    Johnryan Murphy, age 31, of Clifton Township was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 90 days to 5 years, ordered to pay a fine of $1,700 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On November 25, 2012 in Greene Township, Murphy was found to be driving under the influence. His blood alcohol level was .188%.
    Dudley Farrell, age 51, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 4 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for the crime of Simple Assault. On August 28, 2012, Farrell punched and choked another person in Delaware Township.
    Jeffrey Hulse, age 23, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 6 months followed by an additional 6 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $800 for the crimes of Retail Theft and False Reports. On July 18, 2013 in Westfall Township, Hulse took various items without paying the full retail value. On a separate occasion on September 7, 2013, Hulse gave police a false name so he wouldn’t be arrested for outstanding warrants.
    Amber Brewer, age 25, of Sparrowbush, NY was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 2 to 18 months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft. On July 25, 2013, Brewer conspired with two others to take a Blue Ray entertainment center and a plastic bin without paying the full retail value of $271.98 from a retail store in Westfall Township.
    Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    Colin Kowet, age 24, of Hawley was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 33 days to 1 year, ordered to pay a fine of $1,800 and had his driver’s license suspended for 2 years for the crime of Driving While Under the Influence and a motor vehicle code violation. On March 31, 2013, in Blooming Grove Township, Kowet lost control of his vehicle landing on the roof.
    He was found to be driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .225%. On a separate occasion on June 28, 2013, in Blooming Grove Township, Kowet was pulled over for weaving over the fog line, and told troopers he was texting. He was also found to be driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .136%.
    Page 3 of 3 - Erin Lovelace, age 27, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 15 to 30 days for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft. On April 29, 2013, Lovelace and her co-defendant agreed to take various items without paying the full retail value from a store in Westfall Township, and then return the items for store credit.
    Xavier Gilliam, age 19, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft. On May 15, 2012, Gilliam and his co-defendant took various items, concealed them in a backpack and attempted to leave the store without paying the full retail value from a store in Westfall Township.
    Thomas Shrek, age 51, of Hawley was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On January 28, 2013, Shrek was found to be driving under the influence in Blooming Grove Township. His blood alcohol level was .281%.
