Cold Spring Chapel announces its Harvest Home Festival on Oct. 13.
Each year, the congregation celebrates the end of harvest with a festival that begins with worship, games and events, and a fellowship dinner. Worship begins at 11 a.m. after which a ham dinner will be served, including a homemade pie social.
The Junior Department of the Sunday School will host a festival on the grounds to include: horseback riding, pie eating contest, wagon rides, corn maze, apple bobbing, pumpkin painting and doughnuts on a string, just to name a few.
Trunk or Treating will be set up in the parking lot where children may choose Halloween candy to take home. All are welcome to attend.
Turn right at the Rileyville 4-corners and continue about three miles. The Chapel is on the left at the corner of Upper Woods Road and Great Bend Turnpike.
“We hope to make new friends during this event that is open to everyone and we encourage families to attend this free event. Many willing hands have come together to give everyone a special day that will not be soon forgotten.” said Pastor Bryant.
