  • The Penn State Master Gardeners in Wayne County have announced an upcoming workshop featuring Lawrence Braun, a farmer at The Anthill Farm and a professional photographer, on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 3-5 p.m.

  • The Penn State Master Gardeners in Wayne County have announced an upcoming workshop featuring Lawrence Braun, a farmer at The Anthill Farm and a professional photographer, on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 3-5 p.m.
    Braum will be taking his skills to Fox Hill Farm, where he will be demonstrating composition, depth of field and minimalism in photographs using 35mm digital SLR with macro and wide angle lenses.
    He will also teach a session on shooting macro-photos in the garden with an Iphone, along with introducing a few helpful apps that can help give your images a great look. Guests are encouraged but are not required to bring digital cameras, tripods, lenses and an Iphone to participate.
    Directions to Fox Hill Farm from Penn State Extension Office 648 Park Street, Honesdale are:
    From Park St. turn right onto Main St. (0.6 miles); turn left onto 4th St. (0.1 miles); take the 2nd left onto Cliff St.(1.6 miles); Cliff St. becomes Daniels Rd. (1.6 miles); Daniels Rd. becomes Fox Hill Rd. (1.5 miles); 297 Fox Hill Rd is on the left. Your destination is 0.7 miles past Beardsley Rd. If you reach Ripple Ln. you’ve gone about 0.1 miles too far.
    There will be a $5 charge per person to attend. Children under 18 are free. Registration is required by calling the Penn State Extension office, Wayne County, (570) 253-5970 ext. 4110 or emailing WayneExt@psu.edu.
