Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
Robert A. Corvino, age 31, of Huguenot, N.Y. was sentenced to 1 year of probation, and was ordered to pay a fine of $400 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On March 25, 2013, Corvino was stopped by police, and found in possession of a syringe with heroin residue, a burnt metal spoon with heroin residue, and a heroin packet with residue.
Joseph C, Hoehmann, age 29, of Matamoras was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 4 months and 15 days to 23 ½ months, and was ordered to pay a fine of $450 for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
In the winter of 2012 through 2013, during two separate incidents Hoehmann was found by the police to be in possession of xanax, a syringe, a packet of heroin, and a syringe with heroin residue.
Michael E. McDermott, age 50, of Milford, was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 60 days to 6 months, and was ordered to pay a fine of $825 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence, and motor vehicle violations.
On October 27, 2012, McDermott was driving on the Log Tavern Road when he lost control of his car, and the car rolled over. McDermott had a blood alcohol content of .153% at the time of his accident.
Paul E. Simmons, age 56 of Milford was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 6 months, and was ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.
On August 4, 2012, Simmons was stopped in the town of Milford, and was found to be driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of .134%.
Hemantkumar Parmar, age 61 of Milford was sentenced to 1 year of probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for the crime of Stalking.
On June 3, 2012, Parmar stalked his victim, as they left a business in the Milford Borough.
