President Obama has been going through a rough patch of late, no doubt about it,  but the claims by some conservative pundits that his approval ratings are in free-fall are just plain wrong.


The latest Gallup Three-Day Tracking poll SHOWS that 47 percent of Americans disapprove of Obama’s job performance while 44 percent approve — a difference that matches the poll’s three-point margin of error.


Yesterday’s edition of the Republican-leaning Rasmussen poll showed an even smaller gap — one percentage point — between the president’s approval and disapproval ratings....
