  • — Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    Raymond Aponte, age 59, of Bushkill, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 for the crime of False Statements. Aponte knowingly obtained $1,994.43 in assistance from Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as food stamps, by not disclosing his employment status from 2011 thru 2012.
    Jasmine C. Beach, age 22, of Matamoras, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 6 months, and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On February 2, 2013 in Delaware Township, Beach was stopped for speeding. In the course of the stop she was found to be driving under the influence, with a Blood Alcohol Content of .12%.
    Eric W. Burkhardt, age 31, of Sandystone, NJ was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 30 days to 6 months, and ordered to pay a fine of $750.00 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On October 12, 2012, Burkhardt was involved in a two car accident in Lehman Township. When police arrived at the scene Burkhardt was found to driving under the influence, with a Blood Alcohol Content of .140%.
    Jimmy Colon, age 37, of Elmsford, NY was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 54 months to 10 years, and ordered to pay a $1,000.00 fine, for the crime of Robbery. On August 24, 2012, Colon acted as an accomplice to another person who robbed a Fed Ex truck driver, while he was making deliveries in Hawley. Colon and his co-conspirator managed to steal money from the driver, and several packages from the truck.Ryan Etchie, age 29, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 6 to 23 months, ordered to pay a fine of $400.00, and to pay restitution, for the crimes of Retail Theft. On August 30, 20ll, Etchie stole three flat screen televisions valued at $529.97 from the K Mart in Westfall Township by exiting the store through an emergency exit. On September 30, 2012, Etchie stole a laptop valued at $700.00 from Tri- State computers in Matamoras PA. On December 31, 2012, Etchie stole two televisions valued at $489.99 from the K Mart in Westfall Township by exiting through and emergency exit
    Daniel Lucarto, age 51, of Floral Park, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months and is ordered to pay a fine of $1425.00, for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, Drivers Required to be Licensed, Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended, and General Lighting Requirements. On January 1, 2013, Lucarto was stopped in Dingman Township on a routine traffic stop for Inoperable Registration Lamps, when he was found by police to be driving without a license and to be intoxicated. At the time of his stop Lucarto had a Blood Alcohol Content of .241%.

Meglio, age 28, of Lackawaxen, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 15 days to 1 year and is ordered to pay a fine of $500.00, for the crimes of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On October 20, 2013, Meglio’s vehicle was involved in crash on the Masthope Plank Road. When first responders arrived at the scene, baggies of marijuana were found on the ground around the accident scene.
