    Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    Laura Vangorden, age 49, of Sussex, NJ was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for a 4 days to 12 months, and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Retail Theft. On December 24, 2011at the Westfall Township K Mart, Vangorden, entered the store concealed 33 items in her purse and attempted to exit the store with the stolen merchandise.
    Nicholas J. Schutte, age 26, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to 18 months probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 for the crimes of Theft, Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, and Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended. In the winter of 2012, Schutte, used a Dodge Dakota without permission, stole $800, and a gate key to the community, while the family he was living with was on vacation.
    Stephen T. Corrie, age 19, of Hawley, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 to 12 months, and ordered to pay a $300 fine for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. On January 23, 2013, Corrie, was found to be in violation of his parole when he was found in possession of Oxycodone at the time of his drug test.
    Kelly Dougherty, age 33, of White Mills, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional facility for 1 to 12 months, ordered to pay restitution to Dutch’s Market, and a $100 fine, for the crime of Bad Checks. On July 3, 2013, Dougherty, issued a bad check to Dutch’s Market for $214.88 as payment for her groceries.
    Kathryn Elizabeth Bartizek, age 27, of Dupont PA, was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $500, for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On July 11, 2012, Bartizek drove to the State Police Barracks to return a wallet she had found, upon entering the barracks she was found to be intoxicated. Bartizek was administered a Breathalyzer Test which resulted in a .138% blood alcohol level.
    Paula Klimczak, age 56, of Milford, PA was sentenced to 12 months of Probation, ordered to pay a fine of $600, and restitution to the Milford Animal Hospital, for the Crime of Bad Checks. On November 6 and 15 of 2012, Klimczak wrote two bad checks to the Milford Animal Hospital for $218 and $321 as payment for veterinary services.
    Jay Kai Ross, age 21, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 60 days to 12 months, and ordered to pay affine of $300 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. On November 10, 2012, Ross was stopped by police in Matamoras; during the stop officers found Ross to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana, a hypodermic needle, and wax bags used to pack heroin.
    Page 2 of 2 - Dan Stephen Kelly, age 43, of Greentown, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 120 days to 6 months, and is ordered to pay a fine of $700 for the crimes of Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle, and Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended. On August 9, 2012, Kelly was involved in a hit and run crash where he struck the victim’s car as he was turning from Springbrook Lane onto Branch Road in Greene Township; Kelly then fled the scene.
    Kyle Grogan, age 19, of Hawley, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 5 days to 18 months, and is ordered to pay a fine of $1,500 for the crimes of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Under the Influence, and Required Financial Responsibility. On November 13, 2013, Grogan was stopped on the Blooming Grove Road; he was found to be driving under the influence, in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and driving an uninsured vehicle. On February 1, 2013, Grogan wasstopped in the Community of Masthope, for a traffic violation. Upon the stop, he admitted that he was under the influence of marijuana, in possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
