— The Rotary Club of Newfoundland is hard at work preparing for the 6th Annual Charity Auction and Flea Market to be held the first weekend in August.
They are looking for donations of good, usable items for our auction.
Do you have sports equipment, tools and power equipment, toys, home décor or other items you no longer use? Please consider donating some of those things that you no longer use to the Newfoundland Rotary Club Charity Auction.
The Rotary is looking for any good usable items. They will even pick up your donations.
The proceeds of the auction go to support many local activities and organizations. These include a scholarship program; support for local youth sports groups; helping with the upkeep of the Carlton Drake Park; the Rotary Youth Exchange Program; support for local food pantries; the Greene Dreher Volunteer Fire Association; Newfoundland Area Ambulance Association; the Greene Dreher Historical Society; literary programs; and supporting Rotary International programs such as the effort to eradicate polio worldwide.
This year the auction will be held Saturday Aug. 3 and the flea market will be open Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3 and 4. It will be held at the GDS Fairgrounds in Newfoundland.
Free space is available to local non-profit organizations and space is available for individuals to sell their own things.
Call Roger Altemier at (570) 676-3384 with any questions about donations or auction/flea market weekend. Check out the auction list at wetmoreauction.com or our facebook site.
Come to see what they have that you might need.
