  • Western Wayne students attend national conference

  • Anaheim, California, was the site of this year's National Leadership Conference of the Future Business Leaders of America, which was attended by more than 8,500 members and advisers from across the country.

  • Anaheim, California, was the site of this year's National Leadership Conference of the Future Business Leaders of America, which was attended by more than 8,500 members and advisers from across the country.
    Representing Western Wayne at this conference were five students— Timothy Lescinski , Alfred Thorne, Joseph Clauss, Bethany Giombetti,, and Alyssa Mackiw.
    Besides attending informative workshops, visiting the campaign booths for the candidates for national office, and attending the final round of several performance events, the members had the opportunity to participate in some of the more than 50 competitive events that were offered.
    At the Awards of Excellence program held on the final evening of the conference, Timothy Lescinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lescinski, Waymart, captured a first-place award in the FBLA Principles & Procedures event. He competed against 90+ other FBLA members.
    During the Eastern Regional meeting, WW adviser, Ms. Fran Vitovsky, was recognized for 35 years of service to the association and the chapter received the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit, the highest award a chapter can receive on the national level.
