- The Big Eddy Film Festival (BEFF) has announced that the second annual Big Eddy Film Festival will be held September 20-22 in Narrowsburg.
“We are excited to build on the success of last year’s festival,” says BEFF Program Director Tina Spangler, who is working with a screening committee to select the new independent features, shorts, and documentaries to be shown at the second annual event. Films will be announced Aug. 16.
In September of last year, the first annual Big Eddy Film Festival brought 18 new independent films to the historic Tusten Theatre, including Jessica Yu’s “Last Call at the Oasis,” Matthew Lillard’s “Fat Kid Rules the World,” and “For Ellen,” directed by So Yong Kim and starring Paul Dano and John Heder.
The River Reporter announced about the Big Eddy Film Festival: “Returns are in: It’s a hit.”
And the Times Herald Record said “Cheers to the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and its supporters for enhancing the cultural opportunities in the region and elevating the profile of Narrowsburg by launching the inaugural Big Eddy Film Festival.”
