-The 11th Annual Artists' Tour will start this Friday and run through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
The tour will be free of charge.
It's the biggest tour yet, with 28 artists exhibiting art at their private studios and local galleries. What's so fun is you get to meet the artists and discuss their inspirations and working techniques, meanwhile all their original art is for sale at affordable prices.
Come visit the painters, potters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers, printmakers and decorative fiber artists.
The artists' studios are scattered throughout Wayne County, and the countryside is beautiful this time of year. The best way to plan your tour is to get a brochure that includes a tour map and a list of participating artists. Brochures are available at dozens of downtown local businesses, libraries and galleries.
To obtain directions and to view a sampling of all the artists work, go online to waynecountyartsalliance.org or stop by the WCAA headquarters at 812 Main Street.
Artists' work will be on display during studio tour hours. For more information about events and membership, or to volunteer, call the WCAA office at (570) 390-4420, or visit waynecountyartsalliance.org.
