I always find it funny when it's wintertime and everyone is all "OMG it's so cold," and in the summertime it's like "it's way too hot."
There never seems to be much of an in-between where any form of weather is satisfying to people.
I can't say I'm completely out of the group for that. There are those winter days where it's just too cold to do anything, even when you do love the activities that come with it. That's not to mention the fact that I am one of those who gets cold very easily, although those rare occasions do exist where I'm the only one in a group feeling warm.
Then there are those summer days that are so nice you want to be outside, yet it's too hot to do anything but sit by a fan or an air conditioner.
I'm not one to constantly complain about the weather, but I was definitely doing enough of it when the first portion of summer was constant rain. I know we need it, but that was ridiculous. We don't need it THAT much; not 24/7.
But of course that all changed and we are in a good time of summer, getting really nice days and being able to enjoy it. We even have some pretty hot days, but they don't feel like much with that nice breeze blowing across.
You're probably wondering why I'm talking about the weather. Well let me tell you why.
Sure, I hated having so much rain and I loved it when we had a real summer again. It's nice that we are still seeing it, too. But of course, once we had that week stretch of constant 90s, everyone came out in numbers. For what you ask? To complain about how hot it was.
This part makes me laugh. We had all the "rain, rain go away," type of comments, then real summer begins and, as predicted, people were complaining it was too nice out.
You do realize we live in Northeast Pennsylvania right? Weather is going to come and go in different ways, sometimes from one extreme right to another extreme. Can't there be any type of day where everyone isn't going "it's too hot" or "it's too cold." Are they saying they would rather have hurricanes and earthquakes all the time?
But, alas, we know there'd be complaints about that too. I guess you really can't completely satisfy the human race.
As for me, I will take the 90s with a grain of salt and I'm not going to say it's too much, because honestly, would you rather have a hot, sunny summer, or rain 24/7?
