– "Everywhere Fun Fair" will be the theme for this year's Vacation Bible School being held at the Damascus Manor United Methodist Church from July 15–19.
At VBS the children will explore God's world and the welcoming love God has for all people. During each session, the children will discover biblical characters who were determined to be friendly, giving, bold, forgiving and welcoming neighbors. Each daily lesson focuses on a different place in the world and explores the teaching of Jesus to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
The first day Chris Ivey, Christian character juggler, will be entertaining the children, and the public (everyone is welcome) at the Damascus Area Elementary School, next to the church, at 6 p.m.
A picnic dinner will be served each evening between 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., with VBS being held from 5:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Children from four years old through sixth grade are welcome to join in the music, crafts, games, Bible lessons, snacks and plenty of fun.
There is no charge for attending or for the daily dinner.
