The Upper Delaware River needs your help to give it a good cleaning. Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreation River is seeking people who would like to make a difference.
Everyone is invited to join Park Rangers on Saturday, July 13 as they paddle down the river plucking litter from the shoreline as well as from the river bottom. This is great fun for the whole family as well as for groups of friends.
Paddlers are asked to meet at the Zane Grey Museum in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 13. The National Park Service will provide the vehicle shuttle, canoes, lifejackets, and paddles. We will be carrying out this activity rain or shine.
You should expect to get wet, so please be prepared with the appropriate gear including extra clothing, proper footwear, lunch, plenty of water, a hat, and sun screen.
This year’s river clean-up is limited to the first twenty who register so call your family-call your friends and come join the fun and help keep your river wild and scenic.
For more information or to sign up for the Summer Paddle and River Clean-Up, please call Park Ranger Brandon Diefenbach at (570) 685-4871 by Thursday, July 11.
