Scott Epperson is a "dead ringer" of Barney Fife, the bumbling deputy of Mayberry.

He looks, walks, talks and acts as only Barney can, and always reminds people to "nip it in the bud."

Scott is a well-established theater actor with experience in radio, television commercials, promotions, and music videos. He has also been in shows with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business.

Whether he’s mingling with the crowd, signing autographs, taking photos with fans or dancing on stage, this lovable lawman is always mindful of his public safety duty and passes out tickets for things such as jay-walking to the crowd as needed.

Scott is a North Carolina resident who's hometown of Mount Airy is also the hometown of none other than Andy Griffith himself! Scott takes great pride in his portrayal of the beloved Barney Fife character, and feels honored to be able to spread joy, laughter and smiles to so many people throughout the country. He truly is as close as it gets to the original TV character from "The Andy Griffith Show."

As an "in demand" personality at various events all over the United States and Canada, Scott has appeared in several TV commercials (both local and national), music and promotional videos, and has even performed alongside many well-known celebrities including members of the original "Andy Griffith Show" cast.

Scott has been seen at the Coshocton County Fair in Coshocton, Ohio; Georgia National Fair in Perry, Ga.; the York Fair in York; the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in San Antonio, Texas; the Washington Parish Free Fair in Franklinton, La.; HogRock River Rally in Cave-in-Rock, Ill.; the Blue Crab Festival in Little River, S.C.; the North Carolina Watermelon Festival in Fair Bluff, N.C.; the Hendersonville Apple Festival in Hendersonville, N.C.; and Farmers Day in Robbins, N.C.; among other cities and towns across America.
