Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
Kristin Strouse, age 29, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 40 months to 7 years, ordered to pay a fine of $ 2,000.00 and restitution in the amount of over $ 21,000.00 for the crimes of Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy, and Receiving Stolen Property. On November 12, 2012, Strouse and two co-defendants broke into a residence, causing damage, in Matamoras Borough and took various items including jewelry, cigarettes, and a digital camera. On November 18, 2012, Strouse agreed with two others to break into a residence and steal items including jewelry. They then agreed to sell the stolen jewelry. On November 19, 2012, Strouse acted as a “look out” while her co-defendant forced open a garage and kitchen door. On November 7, 2012 in Matamoras Borough, Strouse was in possession of numerous items knowing they had been stolen.
Kevin Panowicz, age 26, of Milford, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 9 to 18 months, ordered to pay a fine of $ 400.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for the crimes of Delivery of a Non Controlled Substance, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. On July 23, 2012, in Dingman Township, Panowicz sold 5 oxycodone pills, and a chunky white powder he claimed to be cocaine to a confidential informant.
Michele Fregoni, age 38, of Greentown, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 2 to 23 months, and ordered to pay a fine of $ 900.00 for the crimes of Simple Assault and Public Drunkenness. On October 1, 2012, at a gas station in Palmyra Township, Fregoni, who was under the influence of alcohol, punched two Pennsylvania State Troopers while they conducted a welfare check on her.
Gerard Egger, age 40, of Lake Ariel, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 9 months and 90 days to 5 years, ordered to pay a fine of $ 2,000.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Driving While Operating Privileges were Suspended. On October 19, 2012 in Palmyra Township, Egger was found to be driving under the influence and on a driver’s license that had already been suspended for a previous DUI conviction. His blood alcohol level was .137%.
Kevin Thompson age 19, of Milford, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $ 500.00 for the crime of Criminal Trespass. On July 8, 2012, Thompson entered a residence in Dingman Township without permission.
