—The Wayne County Builders Association (WCBA) will be hosting a special building contest for children during the annual Wallyfest this year.
The contest is a great opportunity for young people to have some fun, use their imagination in building a structure using LEGO® bricks and win fantastic prizes.
This special event is sponsored by JRG Advisors and will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Wallenpaupack High School on Route 6 in Hawley. There is a registration fee of $15 per child and children must pre-register for the contest since space is limited to 40 contestants.
The contest will include two age groups: 5 to 8 year olds and 9 to 12 year olds. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
“This is a popular event that fills up quickly!” says Laurie Lourie, Chief Executive Officer of the Wayne County Builders Association. “Parents are encouraged to pre-register their children early.”
Registration forms are available by calling the WCBA office at 570-226-4941. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
