- The Downtown Hawley Partnership Inc. has donated $1,000 to the Hawley Public Library from its Winterfest account.
As he presented the check, DHP President Rev. Bill Samford said, “DHP is the community and we want to give back to our community. The Hawley Library has been a community center for the town for many years, a wonderful resource for the community. We are delighted to support the library in this small way and we look forward to continuing this for many years to come.”
Receiving the check was Margot Adams Clauss, president of the Library’s Board of Directors, who responded, “Like DHP, our library has always had service to our community as a primary focus. We are very grateful for their generous donation. The support we receive from community-minded organizations like DHP helps to ensure that our Library can continue to grow our mission of service to everyone in Hawley and the surrounding communities.”
Also participating in the presentation was Library Board Secretary Dona Schmalzle.
