— Containers for plants can solve a variety of problems. They put color exactly where you want it; they can be changed much more quickly and easily than garden beds; they can hold anything from pansies to vines to small trees.
On Saturday, June 1, the Penn State Master Gardeners in Wayne County will be holding a Container Gardening Workshop, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Damascus Community Center, 60 Conklin Hill Rd, Damascus. There is a $5 charge, per person, to attend.
Master Gardener Patti Zins will encourage you to think outside your average pot of geraniums and show you how, with the right ingredients, you can create a beautiful season-long display for any sunny spot or shady corner. Patti will cover the initial setup and maintenance of the thrill, the fill and the spill.
Registration is required by May 30 by calling the Penn State Extension office, Wayne County, 570-253-5970 ext. 4110 or emailing WayneExt@psu.edu.
